Finally received the approval notice today, more than 14 months after the submission date.  Similar to others, the case was under active review followed by the approval. I hope everyone else have a shorter TAT.

We received our NOA2 notice from Potomac Service Center via email (saying the paper copy has been mailed) on 3/16/21; our NOA1 date was 5/7/20

We just got our I-30 approval notice on March 22nd!!!! Our priority date was May 21st, 2020

I'm seeing a trend here.  We're also May 2020 filers and we just got approved!

Our NOA1 was from Nebraska SC.  Last month we tried to log a request for Out of Normal Processing Time, but we were told that our case was actually in Potomac SC.  When we got our NOA2, it did say Potomac SC.

Our NOA1 dated 07/12/2020 was from Nebraska but after waiting 9 months and hearing nothing we spoke to an agent today who told us our case in now in Potomac, so I guess we are joining the club here..!

It's so bizarre that they allow such a disparity between service centres to continue, and even add to the problem by transferring cases from a 'quick' centre like Nebraska to a slow one like Potomac... I see people who filed in January of this year getting approved at Nebraska, whilst we all wait patiently for up to a year, or even longer! What a bizarre and cruel system!

Will keep our timeline updated but really not expecting to hear anything new for another few months now, rather depressing news after an already 9 month wait, just for the first part of the process...

Joining the club 👋 We just received our NOA1 hard copy in the mail - in the footer it says Potomac (online when I check the status it says Nebraska)..unsure which to believe

Hi,

I see we have a similar case of different service centres being shown - online says Nebraska but hard-copy says Potomac.

Seeing as you received your NOA2, can I ask what centre you ended up being in ultimately?

Hi guys! Husband and I completed our visa journey back in October, but I thought I might share this with you as I did on the Potomac 2019 filers group. Hope it helps! :( Update time for October 2020 - March 2021!

For the entirety of this period, 505 VJ member petitions have been approved by the USCIS across all the centers (by timeline).

Approximately 4 cases a day (work day) by the organization as a whole.

Of those 505 petitions approved, 115 of them were at Potomac - about 1 petition a day.

The first petition of October was approved on the 1st.

The latest NOA1 approved in March 2021 was July 7th of 2020, potentially due to expedite. The latest NOA1 approved without expedite or I-129f was probably around May 20, 2020.

The current estimated range for application completion on the USCIS website is between 12.5 - 16.5 months from your PD. If you filed before December 9th, 2019, and you still have not received any notifications about your case, you should call USCIS and find out what is going on. This is especially true given the instability in processing times we've been experiencing over the past year (yay COVID). Get any issues resolved as quickly as possible. Same goes for RFEs. If you haven't received a response to your RFE within 60 days, you should be contacting them.

Potomac is a small center (only 2,224 petitions recorded) and right now the daily rate of approvals is pretty slow. Keep in mind, some filers do not have their timelines set up and so their data is not contributed to the pool, so it may be even more effective than my numbers show here. Please encourage any and all Potomac filers in the forums to go ahead and set them up so we can start to get more accurate readings on your timelines.

Congratulations to all of you who were approved over the past 6 months! We hope things continue to go favorably for our fellow filers and that many more will receive good news over the next month! ❤️

I also was originally Nebraska center NOA1 was 12/18/2020 and I hadn't heard anything after 4 months so I spoke to an agent today and was also told our case is in Potomac.

This is really interesting! Thank you for sharing. How did you find some of this info? Straight from here on VJ?

I am thinking more people's petitions are at Potomac than recorded. Many get the standard "processing at Nebraska" and the NOA1 from elsewhere even thought its at Potomac.

Found love, thought I wanted this path, two years later realized my partner was not worth all the stress 😁

Okay so I am starting to lose it. I am a USC filed for my husband June 2020 online as I currently live abroad with him. IOE number originally went to Texas. It's been almost exactly 10 months so I sent a message through USCIS asking if it's been transferred or not. They wrote back after a week saying to check the Potomac timelines. Texas had changed to max 10.5 months. Why is there no Potomac option when looking at the VJ trends? What's the abbreviation? I'm so sad. I'm trying not to lose hope but I feel like it's never going to come and I just want to go home with him! I'm tired of being abroad haha. Thanks for any responses!!

So I contacted Emma again today because last time I didn't ask if it had always been at Potomac or multiple centers and the agent said as far as they see it's been at Potomac since filing despite my NOA1 saying Nebraska. So on the timeline I have Nebraska and transferred to Potomac should I change it to Potomac with No transfer?
