Can't sign up in China

Hi! I'm in China and tried to sign up multiple times on multiple devices and had the same issues, it always told me something like "the answer to the security question is wrong", the questions were like "what's the color of the sky" or "whats one plus five", so I'm pretty sure I wasn't wrong. After asking several other people in China, I noticed it was a common problem. So I had my fiance sign up in the US for me.

 

Now I know Chinese internet does funny things, but usually blocked sites are just blocked, this is different, I've never had a problem that's this specific. I could browse this site with no issue before having an account. Thought I should point this out, and maybe tech people here can take a look. Thanks!

That is strange.  We use invisible recaptcha (google based) to screen bots.  Maybe google is blocked.

Some searching indicates this may be the issue...

Yes - I remember someone mentioning this before.

 

Sign-up should work fine with a VPN, or from the US. Once you're signed up, no further problem.
