I-864 Two Joint Sponsor signatures on the same form or seperate?

Hi,

My father is our joint sponsoring. My wife took the I-864 to the consulate and was told that they needed my mother's signature on the I-864a form (presumably because my parents file their taxes jointly). The letter they gave my wife just says they need my mother's signature and is not specific as to whether it needs to be on the original I-864a form we submitted to the NVC, that it should be on a seperate I-864a form, etc.

Since there is only one space to sign on the I-864a document I assume my mother will have to fill out a second I-864a form with the same info as my dad's, I'll have to upload it to the NVC, then send it to my wife to then forward to the USA consulate.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

Since you submitted an I-864A for your dad, it seems you treated your dad as household member instead of joint sponsor.  And the consulate wants another I-864A for your mom also as your household member.

From the I-864A instructions --

"A separate Form I-864A must be used for each household member whose income and/or assets are being used by a sponsor to qualify. Each Form I-864A is completed and signed by two individuals: a sponsor who is completing Form I-864 and a household member who is promising to make his or her income and/or assets available to the sponsor to help support the sponsored immigrants."

Yes, please clarify.  The joint sponsor and the joint filing spouse BOTH sign the I-864a.
