Hi all,

So I was documentarily qualified at the NVC this morning for my husband's CR-1 visa. I am living & working abroad so we used a joint sponsor who has taxes for the last 3 years showing more than 4 times the necessary income. He's self employed so we provided bank account statements and a letter from him on his business letterhead certifying his employment. Due to IRS delays we submitted tax returns not transcript for both myself and our joint sponsor for 2019 but tax transcripts for 2018 and 2017. My joint sponsors affidavit didn't include any household member income or assets as it didn't seem necessary with his high income.

Does anyone know if the lack of transcripts could be the reason for not "meeting the minimum income requirements" or do I really need to start looking for another joint sponsor...Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

We were DQ, in November 2019. I still don't have my 2019, tax transcript. I believe there are 11 million Americans, that are still waiting for theirs. It was weird, because his interview was 2020. We used our 2018, 2017, and 2016 tax transcripts.

You should be fine. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I didnt receive my 2019 W-2, until February.  I didn't upload it ot the NVC.  I was already DQ; however,  my husband did take it with him to his interview.
