Can I get my interview date if I call?

I have received notice that my interview is scheduled. I hear it can take up to two weeks to get the letter but I need to sort childcare and work and other things so could do with knowing the date ASAP. Anyone had any luck calling and finding out the date while letter is en route? This is a green card interview. Thanks

Wait for the letter first. You will have plenty of time to schedule childcare, as the USCIS will give you up to 6 weeks to prepare for the interview. Good luck!

Yep I don’t even have approval on EAD or AP yet, and now the interview! Not how I expected it to go but happy none the less.

And as a result,  EAD and AP are moot.

YMMV
