My husband and I filed our I-485 in June along with our applications for work authorization and advanced parole. Today we received our interview date for the I-485 (we will interview on Oct. 16). We weren't expecting to have the interview this year since we only filed three months ago. We're super happy, just surprised! Is anyone else having a similar experience?

The case status hasn't updated online (we just checked this morning). We filed the I-485 in early June and the notice of action telling us that the interview is scheduled was dated Sept. 11. Just seems so fast

Yes! We filed June 19 and our interview is in 2 days, super crazy. Hopefully everything goes well and it just meant that we prepared the package very well in the first place + a lot of luck

Same thing happened with my wife and her daughter in 2018.  Applied for AOS in July and interview was in October.  No idea how that happened because the Baltimore office timeframe was 12-18 months.  We jokingly assumed that someone had a pile of applications fall off their desk and our file ended up on top!

Approval came a week later.

Best of luck to you!
