Approved petition sitting at Montreal

Hey all,

So my approved petition was sent from NVC to Montreal at the end of March & arrived at Montreal in April (I have my case number).

Now I know that for the CEAC case tracker even though K1 is considered Non-immigrant you have to search through “immigrant” with your case number to see your current status.

I’m just wondering if you pay any attention to the text below your status.

Example: My case says “Ready” last updated April 30th but the text says “ready to schedule interview”.

I haven’t received anything regarding a P3 Document checklist to gather documents & book my health testing though so I’m assuming not.

Also how would one receive their P3? Do you get any notification of being sent it? Is it sent through mail or email? I just don’t want to miss anything when they finally get round to it again.

Did you try asking in the Canadian regional forum?

YMMV

I don’t know how to post in the Canadian forum.
I haven’t seen anyone ask this question on there either.

Also I figured the information in the text box in the CEAC tracker would be universal.

So April 30th is your "first" ready date. You have to wait for that date to change for a "second ready" that means your case has been processed or at least updated.

You must wait until you see that date change and receive your P3, usually after that date change. (could be 3-4 weeks possibly more with covid) via email. You basically have to sit tight and wait right now and do nothing.  but once you send in your packet 3 they will send you a packet 4 with instructions regarding your medical and interview.

we’re in the same boat. Ready since April 30, waiting for my P3. Guess they’ll rescheduled the cancelled ones and then start on our cases so sit tight and keep us updated here

they havent started rescheduling cancelled K1 interviews yet so it'll be a while before your new case will be available to book an interview either.  There are at least 2 threads on this fopic in the Canada forum for you to participate in. 🙂

I figured as much, I was just wondering if I pay any attention at all to the text in the case tracker or just the “Ready” part.

As far as my petition expiring because of COVID-19, do I just do nothing or do I have to send another letter of intent to Montreal as it was a delay on their end?

They’ve started rescheduling some already, I’m in a Facebook group for couples separated by the border closure & 3-4 people have had their K1 interviews that were scheduled for March originally rescheduled so looks like they’re finally moving ahead!

They have actually started rescheduling cancelled K1 interviews, I’ve seen at least 3 people in my Facebook group announce they’ve had their cancelled interviews from March rescheduled for the end of September.
