USEM approved our expedite last Oct 20. It was still at NVC when we requested it, then they replied that they have asked NVC to forward our case to Manila. We only received NVC email that they have shipped our file last Oct 29.

***Expedited K1 interview approved!!***

Interview scheduled for Nov 19th.

Finally there is light at the end of the tunnel. (Lord, I hope it's not a train)

For those that will ask, the reason is my son's CRBA interview is the same day. Since she would now fall into one of the 4 reasons they would grant a K1 interview. K1 applicants waiting for visa appointments in order to travel to the U.S. with their U.S. citizen child.

I sent an email requesting the interview, not thinking they would grant it until after the CRBA approval but I will take what is given.

This is how our expedite was approved as well.

just FYI on your CRBA interview. If you can bring a ton of evidence on the pregnancy (ultra sound, pictures of her pregnant, doctor receipts related to the pregnancy etc etc). We never really did this and the evidence we did have was scattered all over the country. We were required to do a DNA test which cost about $750 or so (something like that) but it delayed the confirmation by a month to 6 weeks.  However if we could have presented all of this evidence no DNA test would be required. This was confirmed by the person doing the interview.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

Thanks for the info.

We have all the evidence they have asked for; pictures, flights, hotels. Also, my name is listed as the father on PSA birth certificate. Which was a PITA to get done. So hopefully no DNA needed.

Again, I don't care about what was happening in the past as in September.

I want numbers for October and November, that is when they have seemed to no longer allow expedited for K1's.

I agree they were doing them in September.

49 K-1 visas issued in October. That's an increase from September.

Does anyone know if USEM manila approves requests for expedited interviews based on NIE, i.e. petitioner works in healthcare/covid frontliner + mental health implications? I've seen it happen for USEM in other countries, not quite sure w/ Manila

Nov 2020

Manila K1 - 45 visas issued
Manila K2 - 22 visas issued

Slightly down from Oct, but some people are getting through.

I wonder how many were in AP?

I am not seeing anyone getting interviews for K1 Medical expirations, any more.

Thanks for the updates.......

Just saw someone post in one FB group, their expedite request was approved due to medical expiration. But then again, these seem to be random, and less frequent, as some have also requested due to this reason and were denied.

Exactly

I just don't see anyone getting approved for medical expiration anymore

I remember on the US Embassy Website a few months ago they even listed "Expiring Medical" as a reason for expedition, now of days I think that has been removed by the USEM on the website.
