Hello. Curious if anyone knows the current time it takes for Nvc to process the forms and assign an interview? I’ve tried to find it on line but had no luck.
also, is getting on a waitlist for a sooner appointment an option? I thought I had read somewhere you can get on a list in case someone cancels/reschedules their interview or a slot is opened up.

just submitted our Nvc paperwork and need to get home

What do you mean you need to get home? Are you the beneficiary and not in Ireland? If you are the US citizen you have always been free to go back to the US.. NVC has been put on a standstill since March- meaning petitions have not been sent to the embassies. Once your embassy opens up for routine processing expect all the petitions that have been sitting at NVC since March to get sent before yours. I.E. Expect a long wait.

I see you posted in DCF forum.. Did you file DCF? I am not sure if Dublin has opened up their embassy but you may have more luck looking in the Ireland specific portal.

NVC is skipped for DCFers.

If you are not DCF, and therefore at NVC, then you have to wait for the NVC to initially schedule the appointment.   Appointment blocks are unlocked to the NVC by consulate.

We had an issue when uploading our documents but it looks like things are moving quickly:

9/2/20 uploaded petitioner AoS/applicant ds260

9/9/20 uploaded petitioner tax returns (mistake by attorney in uploading)

9/21/20 received message from NVC saying please add co-sponsor profile and re-upload documents (basically my attorney's assistant uploaded our co-sponsor's documents under my name instead of adding her in the CEAC portal, should be an easy/quick fix)

9/21/20 everything else marked "accepted" in CEAC portal

So assuming it didn't move forward until 9/9 when all documents were uploaded, it took just 12 days for them to get to us.

Another user has a spreadsheet with some NVC-to-interview processing dates from other users, but I cannot find the link. It depended on which embassy, but for us (Portuguese will be interviewing in Paris) it looked like 1-2 weeks for notification of interview date with the interview 4-6 weeks from that date.

We were documentarily qualified this afternoon (10/2/2020).

Hopefully we will receive the interview date next week or the following.

Awesome!! Congratulations!! We got a notice to submit more tax info & change household member from my name to under my step dads. We did all of that and just submitted everything right now. I’m really hoping they get to it soon as I’ve read resubmitting documents can cause a long delay so I’m worried!

My perception of what is happening right now because of all the executive orders/travel bans is that the CR1s are going through right away because we're basically the only ones right now that are excepted from the travel bans. What you've described sounds like what we were going through the past few weeks (pretty quick turnaround).

Best of luck to you!

Thanks so much!! Fingers crossed! I’ve been wondering the same about things speeding up due to all of the orders put through. Let’s do this!!
