Back on the original topic-how do you plan on getting the Israeli police certificate to the Dublin embassy?

Following the advice received from a previous member - I'm simply going to mention this in the cover letter. Something along the lines of "Israel’s law requires direct submission of a police certificate to the consulate. This is consistent with the DOS information available online (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Israel.html). Therefore, it is not attached at this time."

That’s not going to get the certificate to where it needs to get. It will only allow you to clear the NVC stage without it. You will still need it at the embassy.

Right. But I've done all I can from my end - which is request the certificate from the Israeli authorities and have them send it to the government entity of my choice (US Embassy in Dublin). That's all I can do from my end.

Unless things changed recently, they only send to foreign consulates in Israel (like US Embassy Jerusalem) or Israeli consulates abroad (like Israeli consummate Dublin), and NOT directly to US Embassy Dublin. Are you sure that’s what you requested and they are doing that?

On the online request form you can designate the US Embassy in Dublin - but as you've indicated, it does go through the Israeli consulate in Dublin beforehand. So technically, the Israeli Consulate in Dublin sends the certificate to the US Embassy in Dublin.

Touche.

Do you know if there is an interview timeline similar to the I-130 processing timeline?

Just came across this thread and thought I'd let you know that several of us got interview emails today for the Dublin Embassy. Our DQs at the NVC were around the end of May- early June timeframe and we did not expedite. Hope this helps gauge your timeline based on current processing capacity.

Thanks for the update. That's great information for me to have.

My NVC expedite request was denied - they said this is because the embassy has suspended visa operations. Odd since we know that they are definitely doing visa interviews at this time. Oh well... looks like we have a long wait ahead of us.

How many weeks notice for the interview did they give you?

I'm sorry to hear that -- I've definitely seen other people on here say they've had their requests denied for the same reason even though they've also known other people receiving interviews. Are you just going for the IR-1/CR-1 or are you also trying to receive a Visa from a currently suspended category?

We were given 3.5 weeks notice for the interview.

Good to know, thanks!

By the way - did you run into any issues after submitting documents on NVC. I submitted a few days ago, but when I go in now to review what I had submitted I can only view a few of the documents. Is this some kind of known glitch? It's as if no document was attached all of a sudden.

Weird, no, I didn't experience any issues with documents after I uploaded. Not sure if that's a known issue but I'm sure others on this forum might know.
