How do they notify you that they are waiving your Biometrics? Do they send a letter, text or just post in your My uscis or all 3. I know for an appointment to get them done you get a paper notification.

I only received a status update in myuscis stating that my status was updated to show fingerprints were taken. As I had not done biometrics I just assumed that they were reusing the AOS biometrics. This was in May. I have heard of others (before COVID) who received a letter explaining that they were reusing AOS biometrics, but during COVID they just seem to do online status updates and no letters.

Interestingly, I got the online update and I saw a letter from the USCIS in my informed delivery. But for some reason, the letter wasn't in my mailbox yesterday. Maybe there is some issue with mail, I don't know.

Just so folks know...the scanning of your letters for "Informed Delivery" happens at a regional center.  Then the mail for your particular post office is sent from the regional center to the delivery post office (sometimes these are one and the same, but sometimes not - mine are not).  There are many times (these days) where the bunch of mail from the regional center does not get sorted and placed into the delivery trucks/bags on the same day.  Usually the piece is delivered the next day.  I have had a piece be as much as 4 days late.  Drives me nuts.

I didn't know that. It's the first time this has happened to me, I also got some mail yesterday that I hadn't seen in informed delivery at all.

Expect a paper notice that says: "U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has received your form and is currently processing your application, petition, or request. This notice informs you that USCIS is able to reuse your previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics. USCIS will run the same security checks and use your biometric data as in the past, however, it is not necessary for you to appear at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) for a biometrics appointment."

Hi just wondering if you received your letter? Our informed delivery showing a letter from USCIS but no updates from the USCIS website. Wondering what the letter would be. Hopefully it the biometrics reuse letter!
