Expedite

Hi! 

I have a question regarding expedites at NVC. 
My case is a K1 visa at NVC and i'm trying to expedite the case to ciudad juarez. I've been told several medical reasons qualify for an expedite (pregnancy, cancer, ect.) but are mental health reasons being consider at all for an expedite? Any other reasons that qualify and if so is there examples that someone has?

Cancer, yes. Pregnancy, likely not.

If this is your question then you are going down the wrong path. Everyone waits

Focus on what your particular reason is and presenting evidence of that. Every case is considered separately.

If you don't have a reason and are trying to find one, well, I wouldn't have favorable expectations on the result.

I have a medical reason but its MY medical reason. Since i am the petitioner im scared/nervous that NVC wont take that into consideration.

If that's the reason, then that's the reason. Gather evidence of the medical condition, how it impacts you, how having your SO with you may help, etc. Then make the request. Worst case is they say no.

There is more in your favor when it’s the USC that has the medical need. Submit what evidence you have. You can’t send what you don’t have. And then wait and see.

All you can do is submit the request it’s not like it costs anything. BTW it’s actually better if you have the mental health issue than the beneficiary because if she did she would go through much more scrutiny during her medical..

They also seem to really care more about how it affects the petitioner than you. If a petitioner has an issue, that's affecting an American citizen and you, an immigrant, can provide the help she requires. The beneficiary is a citizen of a different nation they dont care.
