There's got to be a reason. Did you have the originals of everything? Maybe something went wrong with the medical? Did you have sufficient funds for AOS? Any background check issue? You don't have to answer here, these are private things about your case, but maybe something will click.

 

I cannot believe they didn't tell you anything about the next steps 😡😟

GOOD NEWS! My long form birth certificate with parent signatures JUST arrived!! I am SO grateful. Interview is Wednesday We only found out on Thursday afternoon last week that I had uploaded the short form version, which is not the one they need for the interview. Thanks to the guidance of all you wonderful people in this chat, I called ahead to Service Canada Friday morning, ordered it online while on the phone with the lady, paid for the express shipping, and it got here today, Monday afternoon!! So for anyone else who needs to rush theirs, you can have hope that it's really really fast!!

 

Unfortunately I can't say the same for my new police certificate. I sent an email inquiry about and it was only sent out in the mail this morning with Canada Post. Highly unlikely that I will get it by tomorrow. My interview being Wednesday morning means I may just have to mail that in afterwards. But I printed out the email they sent telling me that it had been shipped and I have my receipt, and the one that expired in August. All we can do is hope for the best!!

I had everything. My husband is a firefighter and makes good money. I had everything.

Don’t lose hope. Maybe it needs further ap. They kept your passport so there is hope.

Maybe they need to do additional checks due to your new passport?  This could be why they couldn't confirm right away today....just a thought.

@SeriaRisa11, please remember there is a difference between "denied" and "can't approve today"... If denied, you should have been given a (I believe) 221g form.

My interview at 9:45 went well. The lady said as soon as my new medical and new police certificate is sent to them they will send my passport with the visa. Now just waiting for those two documents ❤️
