Hi everyone!!

I just received my re-done criminal record check (my previous one expired in august) today, do I upload it if I’m already DQ? Or do I just bring it to the interview?

Definitely plan to bring it to the interview when assigned. If you go ahead and upload it, it saves the consulate requesting you upload it prior to said interview...

FYI it's time to start getting loud on social media if you haven't already. US Consulate Montreal actively made some regular posts on Friday. The more we start voicing that they haven't started new interviews and need to address their 10+ month backlog, they just might feel the pressure to move forward. 🙏

It's a 6 month backlog--no regular interviews May through Oct at this time.

It's 10 if you consider the backlog they already had prior to COVID which was about 4-6 months.

If they'd had enough time to establish the pre-covid wait of 5 months as the new norm (and I don't consider the 5.5 months they had in between shut downs enough time to determine this) then I'd see your point but as is I have to disagree with this.

I am not a lawyer and nothing I say is or should be taken as legal advice.

So for what I understood, we are supposed to receive new interview dates today or Thursday, correct?

I really want to start getting loud on social media. Also, in the mean time, I will check with the lawyer we know to see what else we can do.

Agreed I would like to be thankful to Montreal consulate on this Thanksgiving day. Let us hope they start sending out interview letter this week. Otherwise we should definitely voice our concerns on social media🙏
