Ughhhhh me tooooooo! The human capacity to deal with uncertainty is not great - add to that being away from our spouses and families.

What I also find inconsiderate and disrespectful is that they would send out some ILs without any notice and little time to plan and get your medical exam prior the interview. I've read many individuals going to their interviews without their medical report available at the Consulate. They should anticipate and plan better to avoid such scenarios to occur (which ironically adds even more delays and wait time).

Not to mention that the majority of us need to make travel arrangements to MTL etc...

Same old boiler plate response they’ve been giving for ages.

Also why on earth can they not predict it? THEY ARE THE ONES THAT DECIDE. Guess it’s not looking good for November interviews... Or maybe it is and they just mean they can’t predict when the NVC will notify us of our interviews once they receive the number of interviews from Montreal? Ugh I’m so sick of their complete inability to communicate effectively.

Roll back to August. They didn’t tell us when they will be resuming. Everyone was waiting until 14th, didn’t happen, but they resumed rescheduling on the 18th if I am not mistaking?

It is hard to stay optimistic these days, but this is the only way for us

Same. Our medical has been there for over 2 weeks now. Still saying that the officer needs to review the case.

I just received email reply from consulate in response to my yesterday’s inquiry.

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for contacting us.

The United States Consulate General in Montreal is resuming certain immigrant visa services, including for spouses and children of U.S. citizens and K-1 fiancé visa applications. We are reviewing pending cases and have rescheduled interviews for visa applicants whose previous appointments were cancelled in March and April 2020 when our office suspended routine consular services.  While we aim to process cases as soon as practicable, there are likely to be increased wait times for completing services due to substantial backlogs.

We are starting to schedule new cases, but wait times for appointments will continue to be longer than normal.

As this case is still at the National Visa Center (NVC), you will need to contact the NVC directly to submit a request for an expedited appointment. Expedited appointment processing is approved in only the most urgent cases. NVC contact details are available here https://nvc.state.gov/ask.

We hope this information is helpful in responding to your inquiry.

Regards,

Saying wait times are longer than normal is pretty redundant at this point lol.

On CEAC it just says

All I can say to that is WOW and congratulations! Best of luck for your new life in the US :)

Thank you for sharing this, this is the most information to come out of Montreal in a while. I bolded my favourite part ;) Good luck with your expedite!

You are very welcome. That is exactly what I noticed also!

I was not expediting, just inquiring when they are planning to resume, but I did mentioned WHY it is important for me to get reunited with him and my step daughter ASAP. My husband tried to expedite twice and we were refused.

My wife and I tried expediting twice as well both times were refused.  I feel to get an expedite out of MTL someone needs to be severely sick or dying.
