Same old boiler plate response they’ve been giving for ages.

Also why on earth can they not predict it? THEY ARE THE ONES THAT DECIDE. Guess it’s not looking good for November interviews... Or maybe it is and they just mean they can’t predict when the NVC will notify us of our interviews once they receive the number of interviews from Montreal? Ugh I’m so sick of their complete inability to communicate effectively.

I don’t see why they won’t schedule interviews for November. Do they NOT want to get through their massive backlog? They can’t just sit idle for an entire month...UGH.

They were saying stuff like that right before they announced restarting. They don't give out information to emails and phone calls. Its still early in October we will see what happens.

This makes me wanna cry 😭. I think this is just an automated generic response that automatically gets sent.

Let’s not lose hope for next week yet however it’s been now over 4 weeks since the last spousal visa reschedule. Doesn’t seem like much of a priority when there’s such a huge backlog for them to take such a long break.

I'm still trying to remain optimistic for next week because there's absolutely no obvious reason why they wouldn't schedule November interviews, but my resolve is fading. It's not even the amount of time waiting (ok it is that a little) but rather the unknown of when it'll be and being strung along every month hopeful that that will be the month and then it's not. We were hopeful that we'd hear in March, then that we'd hear in September, and now that we'll hear next week. Never mind all the months in between of being hopeful that that would be the month that they'd reschedule the cancelled interviews.

I'm going to cry from relief whenever we do get our IL.

That's true, but they already announced that they'd be working with the NVC once cancelled interviews were rescheduled. So I'm really not sure what information we're supposed to be monitoring their site for.

Exactly - the unknown is what's upsetting me as well. I just want to know how much longer I need to wait. If only they would communicate!!! This journey surfaces so much emotion and stress, I'm definitely going to be in shock/cry when my husband receives his IL as well.

They want thanksgiving early. Probably have election as an excuse too for reasons i don't know.

Historically, they sent out SO many letters mid-Oct (last year) for November interviews, so I just don't see why they wouldn't proceed. Like what legitimate reason do you have to not schedule new interviews when all rescheduling is now complete. Pausing will only add to their already massive backlog and anger many.

Omg this message from consulate is just ridiculous. I have framed out an email as well. And having my lawyer email them as well to find out what's taking time now and preventing them to sent out interview appointments. Are they now celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving, then u.s. Thanksgiving and then Christmas time? They gotta do more than this. Fingers crossed for everyone to start getting interview appointments soon.

They can celebrate Canadian thanksgiving, it’s not thanksgiving for NVC they can give the dates now and NVC can send them out while they celebrate with their family.

But NVC always says that they receive dates from the u s. Consulate. So if the u.s. consulate is not giving them dates they can't do anything. It's ridiculous. I mean it's crazy that it's been over a month that u s. Consulate has not sent any dates out and we still don't know the reason why they are not sending the dates. You are the next one pretty much, I really really hope you get your interview appointment very soon. Good luck 😃

Yes and like you know they generally take a week or two in to the month to schedule interviews. I'm just saying that a response to an email is not going to indicate what is actually going to happen. Right now I'm just waiting since this was the first full week in October.

I want off this rollercoaster of emotion and stress that has turned me into an angry reactive mess that I don't even recognize as me anymore (but not until I have my visa in hand).

Ughhhhh me tooooooo! The human capacity to deal with uncertainty is not great - add to that being away from our spouses and families.

I know everyone is having a stressful Friday - but I have great news! The Consulate just called me and my CR-1 visa has been issued! Since my medical expires on October 16 they called because they want me to pick it up in-person to eliminate any risk of me not receiving it in time. My interview was Wednesday and the visa issued.

I've told my husband this, but I actually feel really indifferent about having my visa coming now. I got to the point with all the uncertainty that I was not going to let these circumstances dictate my emotional state, rather than leaving something I had no control over make me miserable. Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly grateful and have so much love and support for everyone in this group.

Congrats, and despite the ongoing frustration, it does feel nice to read some positive notes/news.

I'm also sending positive vibes to the individuals scheduled next week (e.g. Oct-14)!
