Is the size of the photographs the same for the interview and the medical? I'm assuming we'll need 2x2 pictures to satisfy both requirements. I tried to look for this in the FAQ, but couldn't find the photo size for the medical? Also, do we have to get them stamped in the back? I know the FAQ said it wasn't required, but wasn't sure if this was checked at all for those folks that already had their interviews/medicals.

For the medical, it may depend on your doctor/location. The one in BC states the following:

Photo. 2" x 2" size, (50mm x 50mm) American standard size, no signature required.

Photo requirements are as follows:

  • Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance

It's listed on the US Gov website for Visa application: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/photos.html

Please disregard, my bad. This is a reply for another question.

@Hawk Riders is the flu shot a requirement for medical?

If your medical exam is during the following period, you are required to have the seasonal flu shot:

Influenza - only required during October-February, annually

Did not know that! I just called a clinic in Bc they won’t get flu shots until mid October.

If you are in the Vancouver area, the following Shoppers Drug Mart location offers flu vaccination: 4590 Fraser Street.

You must fill out a request online.

You should be ok since you are not scheduled for any interview yet. Once you receive IL, you can go ahead and schedule your medical exam. At that point, you'll need to have your flu shot done.

Yeah I like to be ahead of things! Everything is ready just need the IL now!

I hear you and many of us feel the same way. The wait is brutal and many families are living apart during this time. It is challenging/frustrating but we'll all go through at some point. This forum is a boost of hopes and brings useful tips/advices.

When I checked a week ago there was nothing but I just checked again as a result of this post and it looks like quite a few Shoppers now have them in the Vancouver area. One less thing to worry about!

I actually don’t really understand how the K1 works.. does NVC sends their case to the consulate and then the consulate sends them different packages?
I am just wondering because I thought K1 rescheduling appointments were finished yesterday so I assumed the next step would have been to schedule new CR1 and K1 appt. Am I missing something?
