Not necessarily. I recieved mine the next day in Alberta. It depends how fast it's processed and then the speed of Canada post.

My husband's interview was Monday morning. He lives in Winnipeg and received Visa yesterday (Thursday) by 2:00 pm. Via Purolator to his house.

Question for those of you who have had your interviews. Did you need a copy of the I-864 that had not "expired"? There is a date at the top. It is not a big deal for me to fill out another one, but my joint sponsor's husband is currently deployed and we thought all the paperwork was behind us. I already have to bother my joint sponsor for more tax transcripts, pay stubs, and letters from employer, so I would hate to ask her to redo the paperwork portion as well. I have seen a few people mention a new I-864 but I'm wondering if it was just a precaution or is it necessary?

On that note, are W2s proof of current employment or do I need to ask my joint sponsor to get a letter from her employer?

And in case anyone knows... would I need 6 months of W2s from just my joint sponsor or from her husband as well?

Good point! I didn't even think to refill another one. I totally can, but all my information is still the same...would love to know this as well! :)

A w2 is the equivalent of a t4.

Not sure if this should be in this thread but some good news on loosening US/Canada land border crossings. 14 day mandatory quarantine in Canada still applies.  https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavirus/cross-border-families-can-now-reunite-under-new-exemption-1.4974140

It looks like the consulate issued 34 IR1/CR1 visas in August, but there is only 1 on the spreadsheet. I'm guessing these were all emergency appointments? Also, when can we expect to see the September numbers posted?
