Did they tell you 60 days? I agree it seems like a ridiculously long time. Hoping it will not be that long as there can't really be much of a paperwork backlog. My husband asked for a timeframe and she told him it should be handled quickly once received. Hoping for speedy results!

They don't tell you a timeframe for a reason like with everything else. Within 60 days seems common if you have missing/need updated documents. The medical seems like it should be quicker since it's electronic. However, it's been a week since the Dr. sent them my wife's medical but haven't heard anything except my case is still waiting in "documents". Canned response.

That's so frustrating. I hope we both hear something back soon, and glad the interview is at least out of the way!

I just had to stop and ask this question. Does NVC really look at PD dates when filling interview slots per batch/month? Curious as to how this works...

Supposedly, yes.  When they book a block, people with the oldest PD dates theoretically get the first interview slots for that block.

Can I verify truth to this?  Nope. But I suspect we could figure it out pretty quickly.

@Japples have you called the consulate to ask if they have received the medical, or just emailed them? Doc says the results will be sent tomorrow and I'm wondering if we can just give them a ring and confirm receipt.

Called NVC called the number that is on the appointment schedule site. Only consulate staff have the documents and they don't have a phone number i don't think.
