Thanks for making this thread as I stumbled across it on Google while trying to find out more info. It's nice to know I'm not the only held up by the consulate in Montreal :)

Someone got Interview for October 21, 2020 for IR1/CR1. Not sure if that was an expedite!

Are you talking about this person? This is an expedite per the comments on their timeline.

That's wonderful! My appointment is on October 7 and my medical experience the 16 - so very glad things are being processed quickly. :)

Good luck to everyone with interviews this coming week. ☺️🙏🏽 Every new week brings us all one step closer to the finish line.

Side note, my husband and I will be traveling back to Canada in 2 weeks. I’ll be going with him. Anyone here that’s a US Citizen have any trouble getting into Canada (by air) to be with their spouse? We are traveling together and will take our marriage certificate and proof of relationship. Hopefully, it’ll be easy and I’ll be allowed entry as the spouse of a Canadian resident.

We’ll wait patiently for an interview date in Canada...Hoping we’re done with process by December 🙏🏽

It is smooth sailing if you have a marriage certificate, a copy of CDN Citizen's passport and a solid quarantine plan. I recommend having a copy of the CDN passport for the USC to carry with them, in case you have to separate at customs within the airport.

Questions for those who have interviewed: would you say that the officers ask you simple questions to confirm some information (where you met, what your spouse does for a living, etc.) or more so questions to test you? English is not my first language and I'm worried I'll get nervous and say something wrong - even if we've known each other a long time and our relationship is of course legit.
