The consulate did over 100 family visas both October and nov. There was just not that many visa people in those numbers.

That's true. And I feel for the months of May and June on the Google spreadsheet, we have so many people. Probably more people found out and joined the visa journey group. This group is a blessing. My husband's DQ date is July 9th. I will be very pleasantly surprised if he receives his IL in Jan. Although we are expecting it in sometime Feb or March. Let's hope for the best.

Potentially. It's hard with our numbers because sometimes they reflect what is happening and sometimes they don't. We could have a crazy month where like 40 members get interviews or maybe there was a crush of dq's because the initial lockdown ended in May. Will be interesting to see. Unfortunately might not be till March at this point. Man I'm upset.

Oh really? You think July 9th DQ date might not receive IL until March?

Oh yes, you are almost there. May 26th should definitely get it in this month. I am excited for your good luck. Hoping we might get it in Feb...fingers crossed.

I'm saying I won't with this shut down. I doubt interviews will continue. I hope I'm wrong.

I have a good feeling that they will continue the interviews. U S. Consulate is considered essential services I think. Plus they are better prepared now with the new layout in the office. So let's hope that they keep scheduling interviews. The anxiety until mid Jan to find out is killing me. Ugh

That’s not fair.. they can definitely do both K1 and CR1 at the same time.

What's not fair? I said that one of the months I remember they only did fiance visas. If they can do both at the same time that's fine. But definitely priority needs to be for spousal...what's not fair is for spouses and families with kids waiting to get their life back in order. Spousal is always considered a priority over fiance..so I think it's fair to assume that either they can do both fiance and spousal, or spousal but not just fiance!

We won't have to wait until mid January to know. Will be announced this week if happening.

They did that for one month. But for the past couple of months, they have definitely been prioritizing spousal. I’m not saying they should do fiancé over spousal, they can do both just as they had done with the canceled interviews in September. No need to fight

Hey everyone, I've been reading here on VJ about questions they ask at the interview in Montreal. Question regarding: "have you ever been refused entry at the boarder?"

In march 2020 I tried to cross the land boarder. I didn't know at the time it was closed because of Covid,  and I was turned around. They never looked at my passport or any documents and I never entered the USA. I'm sure they have my car plates documented. Would  I have to disclose this if they asked me at the interview?
