I've heard of other people being asked for this in the past, but I don't think most of the recent interviews have mentioned being asked for that.

I brought some evidence of the marriage just incase, but I wasn't asked for it. I brought some of the same kinds of things that we submitted with the original I-130, but with some more recent examples (e.g., newer photos of us together & with our families, evidence that we have visited since the I-130, and the xmas & birthday cards his family has sent me). For me, compiling a few things made me feel a bit less stressed out, so it was worth it even though I wasn't asked for it.

Awesome, thanks so much!!

How am I supposed to sleep? His interview is in 5.5 hours! 🤪

Separate note, hubby has comments about his experience with Dr Cheema, mostly process and parking. But I don't see one specific thread about the medical stuff, there are lots of threads, and lots of comments woven into other threads, like in this one for example. If a main thread exists, point me to it, please. If it doesn't, may I suggest that, much like the consulate review thread, it would be nice to have a consolidated place for VJ'ers to post notes about the medical providers.

You can create a thread for medical reviews.

Hi everyone!

I was hoping to be more excited to write this post upon my return from my interview this morning, however I was denied and given a section 221g form as my medical exam is still pending to be received.

I had my medical exam with Dr. Zatzman on November 19th and received an e-mail on November 24th stating that it had been submitted to the eMedical system.

When I was interviewed today, I was told that it did not appear to be received. When I informed of when I received the e-mail confirming it was submitted, the individual checked again however said there did not appear to be anything. I was told that it wasn’t abnormal and that it could take some time for my medical exam to be received. They kept my passport and said that I would be informed via e-mail when it was on its way back to me.

I know that some on here had the same situation. Just wondering if anyone had the same happen for a similar length of time as me? I thought the Consulate would have received the exam a good amount of time prior to my interview today.

I’ll be writing a detailed post about the process and questions asked in a bit.

Hey Guys,

hoping you can help me with my question , I lived in the Uk from 2014-2016. I submitted my new Uk police record to NVC in 2019 and now that it has expired, do I have to apply for a new one take it with me on the day of my interview on Jan 13th although I haven’t been back there? I already applied for a new Canadian police certificate; I got DQ in Mar 30 and received  IL on dec 12.

thank you

If you haven't been back to UK since the police cert was issued, you don't need a new one, it is still valid

Hi guys! The Consulate kept my husband's passport (he's pretty much approved) and said they are just waiting for the medical to show in their system. It has not yet been received/updated on their end. I will give a lengthier update in a bit!

Husband had the same issue. We also did his medical from Dr. Zatzman and had confirmation that it was sent. Apparently, this is not unusual and the Consulate will take care of it once received.

@ameena1423Thanks for this info...my husband's medical with Dr. Zatzman is on Jan. 5 and interview is on Jan. 29. Hoping 24 days is enough time for them to forward the results..

To jump on the bandwagon of questioning police checks, upon looking at all of the information again, I feel like mine won't be accepted in the interview at this point, even though NVC accepted it.

On mine it says "Privacy Act Request Type: For Non-certified Criminal information"

I don't know how I missed this detail in May last year, but apparently I did. Do y'all think it would be safest to just go order a new one? It expires in May anyway.

Hey guys, I'm leaning toward getting a new police certificate, but does anyone have any advice on this? It looks like It will still be valid as I will likely get my interview in March.

Why take an unnecessary chance on denial? Get it!

Also, I live in Saskatchewan and the nearest medical clinic is like a two day drive from here. My plan was to fly to Toronto and get my medical done there and stay with a friend until the day before my interview. Then I would take the train to Montreal the day before so I can cut down on hotel costs. I see Dr Mascarhenas' office says to give them ten business days to prepare their report. And I've seen in comments on here that Dr. Zatzmann's office has been delayed in sending records to the Consulate. Does anyone know how much time it takes for Dr. Lee's office?

We had the medical with Cheema on Dec 2, also electronically sent, and arrived in time for today's interview. Granted hubby is from the Vancouver area so this was actually more convenient than the doctors in the Montreal area. So sorry to hear about the 221gs. My empathy goes out to you, it's such a long journey and to have yet another hold up is rough.

Oh this makes me nervous. My husband should have theoretically been done already (started two hours ago) and I’ve heard nothing from him yet. We did our medical November 20th with Dr.Cheema.

Update: We were approved! He was only in there for maybe 6 minutes. Asked about 5 questions about how we met, our family, etc. The interviewer commented on how prepared we were.

So we can file for the green card and pay the fee online?
