In the topic " K1s being rescheduled" from this website, in the Canada section, someone said NVC would send cases to Montreal only when the yellow dot here become green. Yesterday I called NVC to ask them questions related to my papers, and I got the chance to ask them when they would be sending new cases to the embassy. The agent said the Montreal Embassy wasn't scheduling any case at the moment, and he didn't know when it would happen.

I am just lost with this situation. I thought once the cases that were canceled got rescheduled, all the other cases would fill the pipeline. But apparently they're creating a bubble in November? Why? The uncertainty hurt as much as the wait. At least when you have information, you can make plans.

Not sure if you've seen this video already, but view to get more information: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=737481993484218&extid=CJkVOAvLHr73eCIP

Basically, the SOURCE has said after the reschedules they will work with NVC to schedule the new interviews. I would trust the source and not the many assumptions out there. Let's wait and see what happens! Montreal should be communicating with NVC when they are ready, we'll just have to sit tight and hope they move forward with sending out new interview letters in Oct for November interviews. If that does NOT happen, then we can start to ask questions and take force on social media voicing our concerns. That got them to open up in the first place :)

From what I've seen other people share here and on FB groups, it seems like NVC isn't up to date with where Montreal is currently at with scheduling interviews. They have rescheduled interviews from March and April 2020 that were previously cancelled. From what we know, no new cases beyond expedited ones have been sent yet but we are all hoping to start seeing new interviews being scheduled for November in the coming weeks.

I should specify that this is the case for CR-1/IR-1 visas. I'm not well versed on K-1's so hopefully someone else can pitch in with their thoughts!

Sept 21st 8am i forgot my birth certificate and my marriage certificate.

For all those wondering the "refusal" letter says 6-8 weeks after they receive my documents they will mail my cross-border packet so for the most part im approved he even told me my case is straightforward so just get that stuff in

All medicals are extended by 1 month due to covid. Mine expired August 27th so it was extended to September 27th so while it was valid for the interview You need a non-expired medical to get through the border so I have to get a new one

The consulate has confirmed that they will be working on spousal cases at the NVC once they are done rescheduling interviews. They have not said the same for K1 and so that information may be true for K1 but is not true (based on what we have been told by the consulate which is a better source than the NVC) for spousal cases. The NVC also can't send cases to Montreal until Montreal tells them how many interview spots they have, and since they didn't schedule any NVC cases for October (they only had a few days left in October so this isn't a huge shock) what they have said is correct. If they don't schedule any spousal cases for November (which we should hear about mid-October), then we can start to worry.

It really boggles the mind how they just put things like this on the back burner for so long. Have all of your documents at interview, everything will be processed in about 10 days. Mail additional documents after interview even if they receive them in the next day or 2, we'll just add 2 months for fun.

Although, the Covid-19 situation in Montreal could be a nail bitter again.

Lets hope the health authorities can minimize the spread.

AMAZING - congratulations! How long did it take to get your police certificate?

I went in for the application on Sept 14th at 9am and it was in my mail box today Sept 22nd at noon. And I emailed them yesterday and they said it had only JUST been mailed out yesterday morning on the 21st. It's normal Canada Post delivery! So thats why I say it was a miracle!! Especially during these covid delays!! Less than 7 business days from start to finish. SO GRATEFUL!! (I went to the Commissionaires Mississauga location)
