Some people are transferred to CSC (with no interview) while others have an interview at their local office. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason - but is there ever with USCIS?

We're still waiting for something...it's not fun.

everyone's family based application goes to NBC/MSC after initally going to the Chicago lockbox. From NBC/MSC it either goes on to the local office or CSC.
