No, I had to get a number for the Help desk.  I went through the 1-800 number and waited until I got a live agent.  They gave me the number for the help desk.  I think the help desk number was 1-202-838-2200.  The customer service number was 800-375-5283.  I hope that helps.

Great info! Thank you! 💜

Hi, Linos! All is well on my end. Thanks for checking in. How are you?

Do I need to be expecting a separate letter in the mail for online access? I don't see anything (except the receipt) online to give me hope that our package has been touched at all.

I'm good thanks ❤️ Still confused about which center my case is at but other than that all is good on our side ❤️

Hi Everyone, i filled my case on September 20th Chicago office received the receipt for  my I-765 &  I-485 on the 5th of October. even thou i mailed both on the same day, they received the 765 on 09/22 & 09/28 for the second one. I applied it for my wife based on fiance Visa. I miss applying for her Social Security because i was busy with covid Quarantine and the marriage ceremony & I am waiting to receive the approval for the I-765 so I can apply for her social. she is now pregnant & I cannot apply for her anything like medical card because she does not have a social security. anyone knows what to do in these kind situations? should I inform USCIS about the pregnancy maybe they could speed up the process? if anyone can help, please let me know as I do not have a lawyer for this. thanks for advance who can help

Hi Rami,

I think you are on the wrong message board.   This is for I-130 filers.  As for your wife being pregnant, I have only read that this does not qualify for any kind of an expedite unless there are some kind of medical problems.  But I guess it never hurts to request an expedite...the worst they can say is no and it does not penalize you nor hold your application up.

I start seeing more and more September filers getting their NOA2. Are these expedited or  simply lucky?

I think a lot of it is luck and how the cases were divided up when they were received.  My understanding is they are placed in groups of 50 and sent to the different service centers.  This 50 are processed.  From there they start going through different timelines.  Some will require RFE's and others (like the ones you see being completed) were complete packets and move on.  I am hoping it is a good sign that visa applications all around our filing dates are being processed so I am hoping we are soon!

Oh, also I think there may be time differences while they wait for background checks of the sponsor  to come back.

I wasn't aware they did background checks on the USC that filed the petition.

Anyways, I'm also hoping this is a sign that we don't have to wait too much longer for the I-130 to go through. The VJ estimation has been consistently moving forward, with a window of December 31st to January 19th currently, so fingers crossed. Lawfully is giving may to september window, which I obviously like a lot less. My wife and I are absolutely hating this long distance #######.

Yes, they check the FBI database and the terrorism databases.  The problem is they are backlogged because so many people need back ground checks now.  Also, if you were military (like me) I think there is another background check.  To be honest I am not sure if the background checks are first in first out but they should be.  And yes, the long distance thing sucks.  It will happen though but patience has never been one of my virtues!

Yeah patience is not my strong suit either when it comes to stuff like this. Seems to me that, especially giving the unemployment rates in the US, there's plenty of people that can be hired to speed this process up. It's ridiculous that IR-1/CR-1 visas take as long as they do, given the amount of money we have to fork over for it. It doesn't help that the reverse situation 6 years ago took us about 10% of the money and only 8 weeks in total to complete...

This is the 2nd time in 20 yrs that husband and I have been separated over the holidays. but this year has been especially difficult with Covid and his Mom passing. Various processing predictions are not helping at all, best to ignore the process and focus hard on something else,  but its easier said than done.  And no, we are not patient at all.

11-20-2019 - mailed docs to NVC

12-20-2019 - DS-260 done

02-14-2020 - IV interview scheduled for 03-31-2020

03-15-2020 - pending IV interview cancelled due to COVID

08-04-2020 - US Embassy notified us - not eligible for a follow -to-join immigration route anymore. Spouse has naturalized. Advised to re-start the process with I-130 😯

"2 heart attacks" and a month later....

09-08-2020 - applied online I-130

09-09-2020 - NOA1 sent out

09-16-2020 - received NOA1 hardcopy, case pending at Texas SC,

Online case status check, shows case pending at Nebraska SC
