Public Charge Rule (Mumbai) - Am I likely to be approved?

I recently got my job in July last year. My current income is $45k annually however the income reported on my 2019 tax filing is ~$24k since I was only employed for 5 months in 2019. I am sponsoring my wife in India and she will be interviewing in Mumbai. Do you think I will have a tough time getting approved with a 2019 tax transcript + most recent paystubs? I have been employed continuously now for 1 year 2 months.

PS. My wife is a registered nurse but currently unemployed. She intends to start working here as a registered nurse. Not sure if this works in our favor.

CURRENT income is key:

Current Pay Period Income x Number of Pay Periods Per Year = Current Annual Income

Current Monthly Income x 12 = Current Annual Income

Current Weekly Income x 52 = Current Annual Income

Past tax filing are used only to help CO determine financial stability and overall picture.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thanks for the response! I've heard this but then also heard that the Mumbai consulate is notoriously strict and places heavy importance on tax returns. If it was any other embassy/consulate, I wouldn't be so worried.

@pushbrk

Your opinion is greatly welcomed if you are able to respond. Thanks

Since it's Mumbai, I would get a qualified joint sponsor, just in case.  Where are you in the process now?

DQ'd at NVC - awaiting an interview at the consulate now. They've just resumed IV processing so expecting an interview letter in a few months. Would combining household income be just as effective as a joint sponsor? All of my household members are earning.

Really appreciate your response!

Better to use a qualified joint sponsor, if possible.  If not, yes combining income with applicable household members is OK.
