IR2 changed to F11

Hello everybody,

 

So long story short, my brother is an IR2, we received NVC's approval in June, and he turned 21yo in Aug.

Yesterday, The NVC sent the interview date, and I checked this morning on the CEAC to find that they changed the Visa class from IR2 to F11.

I am worried, why did they change that ? isn't the age suppose to freeze when the petition is approved ?

Petitioner: A US father citizen.

Applicant: Son ( my brother)

Filled the Petition in Oct 2018 (he was under 21).

USCIS approval on Oct 2019

NVC documentarily approved on June 30th 2020

Aug, 13th 2020 : turner 21 yo.

Immigration interview date email: Sep, 18th 2020

My son/daughter have the situation bas your brother.  They have an schedule for interview on Feb 22,2021 when the Embassy suddenly send an email stating the appointment is cancelled and no more further explanation. The case was also changed from iR2 to F11. How and why did that happen. Whom we can ask for advise ?

Hi I have the same issue on my son’s case from IR2 they changed it to F11 but some people said that the moment an applicant will have an interview they will change ut back to IR2 not sure how true. Any update on your case?

Did you receive any contact stating your interview was cancelled?

I was  ""  IR2  "" now it's ready in my embassy and its now   ""  F11  ""

USCIS approve me in 2018 when i was 19 years old

i was DQ at NVC in 2020 I was 21 years old


now in 2022 im 23 years old 


my case change this week fron IR2 to F11

does CSPA law protect me friz my age  ???

Hiii, was your son's case changed from F11 to IR-2 at the interview? I am having same issue
