Change address with AOS pending

Hello everyone,

I currently have a pending I-485 'Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview' with Jacksonville, FL office. Due to my husband's job situation, we will have to move to Orlando, FL. So I have a few questions about the changing address:

  1. I read on some post that the USCIS is very slow with address change so how soon should we do it? Our current address is a rental apartment so we cannot keep it.
  2. Is it possible to register for USPS mail forwarding with USCIS mail?
  3. Orlando is not far from Jacksonville, but the area is under another field office. Is there anyway that we can keep our current file at Jacksonville office so it won't delay our timeline?

If you have any suggestion regarding the changing address, I would love to here it.

Thank you very much

1. You will file the change of address online and pray that they update it.

2. You should that as well, and letters from USCIS should be transferred, but cards can't be forwarded. They just send it back to USCIS.

3. Your case will be transferred to the office that covers the new zip code. You can't keep it at the old one.

Hey!! I am currently waiting for my interview at the Jacksonville office as well, has been that way since February 7. My husband got an offer in Connecticut so I've been wondering the same thing... Especially since I think the interview is still a ways off I haven't heard of any movement at that office yet.
