cerified or a copy of marrige certificate for I-485

On visa journey I see refrence for sending a certified (I imagine an original) marriage certificate with the I-485 yet in the instruction packet on page 4 for I-485 it states a copy of your marriage certificate. So it copy good? Did anyone ever get a RFE for an original?

We sent a certified copy of our marriage license. What I realized at the county clerk was that "certified" only means that it has the raised seal on it. (The copies are obviously the exact thing but w/out the seal)

The original for us is just the certified copy...I mean, our marriage certificate is just a photocopy of the original license (request to get married) with a seal.

It's not anything special.

I suggest sending a certified copy. They're cheap and ours was quick to get.

The original will stay at the register of Deeds, you will always get a copy, but it's better if you send a certified copy, meaning the copy you obtain at the register of Deeds after your marriage.
