Hello fellow journeyers,

Here's the situation: soft LUD on old USCIS website on May 15th, 2020 (before the N400 application was submitted) and the new website is still stuck at application received. Found out through a phone call to USCIS for something unrelated that it was transferred to NBC however, we never received a notice of action and they said one was never sent. After an additional phone call (for something unrelated) we were told it was still at NBC. The case is a few days away from 16 months.

I'm wondering if anyone has been in a situation like this and if anyone knows why exactly we would not have received a transfer notice. I have searched everywhere and cannot find anyone that has written about this.

Thanks all and good luck on your journey!

Harold

Since you apply for N400 while I-751 still pending, USCIS likely transfer your I-751 to NBC for a combo interview, and USCIS sometime not sending the transfer notice.

Soft LUD = No Notice Letter

Hard LUD = They will send you a letter

Thanks for the replies.

I'm most interested in why I see everyone else getting hard LUDS and notices but they didn't bother with our case. I hope it is nothing sinister.
