Hi everyone!

Me (British Citizen) and my fiance (US citizen) recently got engaged and have started the process of completing out I-129f form to petition for the K1 visa so that we can get married in the USA. However we had just a few questions we needed cleared up about the form and I hope you all can help :)

1) We currently live together within the UK and we were hoping we could file the I-129f from the UK without my fiance having to return to the US just to file the petition. We were hoping we could forward our complete petition including evidence and money order etc to her mother who could then forward it to the lockbox, is this possible?

2) Furthermore as stated above we currently live together in the UK therefore should we put my fiances mailing address as our current address here in the UK or should we use her address in the US? (Her mothers home), for example we were thinking we should put the mailing address as her address here and her physical primary address as her home in the US or should both of these probably be our address here in the UK?

3) And finally apart from my fiances home address (parents home) she has only lived in college apartments and dorms during her time at college. These were all within the previous 5 years so they are technically relevant however she only lived there during the college semester and you can argue her home address was her parents home, so my question is should we include each of her previous college apartments even though they were only for a handful of months at a time before switching back to her parents house or just include her parents house?

Thank you

Just as a quick note -

Usually for a couple currently living together outside the US, if the process of actually getting married isn't too complicated and/or the US citizen doesn't have an urgent need to return to the US soon, you're better off marrying (you can do this anywhere; it doesn't need to be in the US or the UK; just needs to be legal; Iceland, Denmark, and Gibraltar are commonly suggested for relatively quick weddings for two foreigners in/near Europe, though a lot of Caribbean countries work for this too) and applying for a CR-1 if you intend to live in the US in the long run.

You don't need a K-1 to come to the US to get married if you intend to go back to the UK (you do need covid-19 travel restrictions to end, or to spend 14 days in a restriction-free country).

You do need a K-1 if you intend to come to the US, get married, and stay.
