Without a proper investigation, there can be little evidence. You don't need to have all your evidence organized to file a complaint in court -- you just have to have a good faith basis to make the claims you're making. And this isn't even a court so?

We need to find out if there is evidence to support the allegations, no disagreeing with that. That's how court cases proceed, that what discovery is for. I learned enough working in my dad's law office during summer vacations and talking around the dinner table to know that you need to support your allegations with evidence, but you do not need a slam dunk before you file a complaint. You can make allegations on information and belief. This is this nurse's information and belief. If all the evidence and was organized before a complaint was filed, that would be awesome but that's not how the real world works, and there would be no need for discovery. Sometimes the evidence lies outside of your control and you need the other side to hand it over to prove your allegations.

Nope, not just the mother of PP, but she was certainly one of the major feminists of that time pushing eugenics.

It all rolls into the eugenics movement in the US in the late 1800's, early 1900's.  She, along with several others were strong proponents of eugenics.  I know it is Wikipedia, but there is a lot of information.

Some more background, from a Jesuit source: https://www.americamagazine.org/politics-society/2020/07/28/margaret-sangers-extreme-brand-eugenics

Unfortunately, this is true. History is often complicated and depressing.

Forced sterilizations have happened for years in our history, especially regarding African American and Native American women. That is not to mention a horrific history of experimentation and lack of consent done to these same women by even what we consider today our most 'reputable' medical institutions (one can explore the story of Henrietta Lacks for instance). Eugenicists (men and women in the science/medical field/others alike) capitalized on the sterilization notion and it became a very prominent idea - some found clever ways to 'sell' this idea and make it more 'palatable'. Some have argued that the invention of birth control is one of those ideas - though there is no doubt in my mind that providing women and their families the freedom to choose is important not to mention many women are now forced to use these methods as medical treatment exclusively as we have no other choices. As I've stated before though, the lack of funding and medical research to provide better options and find solutions to conditions is egregiously bad, and you'd be surprised that gynecology hasn't advanced that much in knowledge and technology. We still continue to make women endure painful procedures without anesthetic and provide them with little options or answers. Women are continually told by OBGYNs that the answers to all their problems are hysterectomies with no viable alternatives and struggle to find compassionate doctors willing to take a different route. There are many studies showing women are routinely coerced or convinced to have them, when the reality is they are not needed for many. I have not even addressed the hysterectomies that occur to women while incarcerated, or the lack of routine medical care for inmates in general, but you can look at info about there too. I cannot say if the allegations here are true, but they should be investigated. If they are true, it would not surprise me in the slightest.

The fitting Planned Parenthood hero.

It's interesting that some are looking at this in the lens of what the gov has done a century ago and ignoring the elephant in the room ever since then. Other pro-choice people actively advocate black women to have abortions, sure enough, blacks are what, roughly 13% of the population, and yet have 1/3 to 1/2 of all abortions. They advocate black men to not be fathers, to not make choices that further their own survival, such as attacking police, grabbing a weapon when interacting with police, and so on. It's easy to see where today's eugenics is, which is why the proponents of it try and wave their hand and pull the "look over there". This topic is an example of that, but more the "get rid of immigration enforcement" variety.
