Thanks for flagging. Is it worth trying to reschedule the medical for this week to allow time to get to the embassy? In other words -- is there any risk of our acceptance being delayed because they can't review the medical at the time of the interview (admin reasons, etc)?

You will just wait not knowing when they will get back to you, so don’t get antsy about the unknown delay.  With medical there, you will know at interview if approved and have visa back within the week. Depends on if you are okay waiting without stressing out.  If getting the visa a week or so later than if medical was there, then it doesn’t matter that much.
