AOS Medical Examination

Hello everyone, hope someone can help..

We filed I 485 with I 765 and I 131 back in February. But didn’t include my medicals in the package, since I was still missing some vaccines. I had the medical examination in Germany back in October (so it’s about to be one year), and I’m trying really hard to find a surgeon here in the USA to file I 693 for me without having an additional examination! I’m in Houston, Tx - any recommendation? 🥺

Use this post to find one that will only do the vaccines.

 

 

Your foreign medical is valid "forever" as long as you filed for AOS within 1 year. You will only have to update the vaccines.

Yup, but sometimes the IO makes mistake at I-485 interview and is stubborn about it. There's a few K-1 AOS cases below as rare examples:

Interesting.. In this case, my medical might be expiring next month! Today I went and got my vaccines updated and got my form I-693.

Do you suggest sending in my I-693, or rather wait for my biometric interview and take it with me then?

Biometrics appointment is not an interview. They will just collect your fingerprints, photo and signature. You will take your updated 693 to the AOS interview when it's scheduled.

 

You can always print the instructions to show the officer that your medical is still valid. Some of them are not aware of how a K1 medical works.
