Hello!

My fiancé is Mexican and I have a question about the employment I should list for her. About two months ago she started her own little business giving a hair straightening treatment to people in their homes. She made a logo and it has a name and she started an instagram page for it. She hasn't had any appointments the last couple of weeks, mostly because she hasn't worked on it at all and she's not sure if she's going to continue with it. Should I list this as one of her jobs?

Also she started a dance competition that she puts on every year in November her home city of Monterrey, Mexico. It's cancelled this year because of the pandemic, but she's done it for five years and its grown pretty big, there were over 1,000 dancers at the last two competitions. It's called Force, but it's not registered officially as a business, should I still list this as one of her jobs?

Also, if she starts a new job after we send the application, is that something we would need to send an update for, or no?

Thank you!

Update the employment information in the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application for the interview. You don't have a timeline so I don't know where you are in the process. :time:

We haven't sent in our I-129f, so we aren't anywhere in the process yet.

Any thoughts on what we should put for the jobs where she's working for herself?

Could you just put self-employed with those dates?

Found love, thought I wanted this path, two years later realized my partner was not worth all the stress 😁
