Our NOA1 was March 6 i believe..

Originally our timeline Forcast NOA2 July 2,,  This forcast slipped until Aug 1 within a month or so.

We still have not got our NOA2 an its (/14 so 2.5 months late...  I am hoping it will only be a 3 month slip at CA service center.  If I look at all the Thialand timelines there are no recent progress on anyones timeline.

ITs been 9 months apart and no sign of lifting of travel restrictions by Thailand.

Its been hard but I guess its a good test of our relationship.

I'm sure there are many couples like us.  Well wishes to all.

NOA1 of 4/22 here, have also watched the slipping.  At least there was some good news recently with the Bangkok Embassy starting up interviews again in a couple of weeks.  It will be interesting to see how the surge of cases in the pipeline works out, since I assume the embassy reopening will cause a larger-than-usual batch to be sent from the NVC.

USCIS is just now beginning to approve March applications. It doesn't mean you will be one of the lucky ones to get an early approval as each case is different and background checks are not the same for everyone. Patience is still needed on your part. Good luck and stay engaged.

I added the flag...  Where do you find that March has been processing?

My fiance said the BKK embasy opened in August.. But I read not interviewing for K1 only other visa types. But doesn't it take 6 weeks for the package to get to BKK from Ca Service center?   ITs so sad to see some couples got a K1 for a Thai partner in 250 days  early this year and it is my guess it will be well over 400 days for us...

I am hopeful any background checks on me will go quickly...  I guess I need to start loking at the I-134.   She  will finish with vaccination in Oct.

Its not looking hopefull I will be able to visit Thailand before June 2021.. (just my guess)  I keep up with all the latest news on Thaivisa.com

But I dont think I will want ot do the Special rich person 90 day minimum, covid test, 100KUSD insurance, 14 day quarnetine, private charter flight ( maybe menas private jet) .  tourist visa they are approving but adding details to  this week.

I do worry about what the cost of a Plane ticket from BKK to the west coast will be when things open.  And I worry about a much higher cost for her to visit family in the future.  The idea that airfare would be 1000$ for a trip cost under 3000$ for a short visit for both of us is probably more like 6000$.

And of course the politics, president, riots, protests, police shootings, and now fires has made USA look very menacing to an innocent Thai woman. heck even most people of the World now look down upon the US.

We were scheduled for an interview in May prior to the COVID-19 cancellation. Just received an email with a link to reschedule for December 23rd. It has been a long wait but we are so happy to see that things are moving again.

beat of luck to all!

So early may? Till Xmas thats a 8 month delay.  Thats ridiculous  to blame  covid for 8 month delay..    How long have you been apart?  I didn't expect our interview until  sep- October  so we are 5-6 months behind you plus the 8 month delay  puts us at maybe an interview in late 2021 or  600 ,+days.  The US is a disgrace.

I would agree that with the announcement on the Department of State website that K visa types will be processed at high priority, a date way out in December does not seem high priority especially since the proclamation prevents processing many other visa types, which should free up earlier spots.  Maybe only one person is doing interviews 😀

Initially filing our K1 in late Feb i had high hopes for a K1 visa interview about 7 months later in September-october and a possible travel date before Xmas .  But to read a May interview  is now scheduled for 100 days from now or 240 days or 8 months late which can't be explained away from covid is disheartening.    I had steeled myself to manage a 6 month delay until say  may 2021. Which would be a 450 day wait but if I add up a 8 month delay to the fact I must have applied 5-6 months later than those with a May interview  that's a 14 month  (420 day) delay added to my original 260 day expectations.  So we maybe facing a 680 day  wait for a K1.    Anyone working in the US visa department should be ashamed.

Yes, I believe the interviews will not start until Oct 1 https://th.usembassy.gov/information-for-visa-applicants-regarding-novel-coronavirus/

Agree that the US doesn't look too attractive as a destination now.  My fiancee and I have discussed her traveling to the US for a short visit if travel opens up again, but then we're running the risk of having her stranded here if cases spike and things shut down again.
