Hi

My interview is scheduled for 3 August 2007 in London but the I-129F Approval Notice (I-797) expires 27 July 2007. I have read posts where people have emailed the embassy for an extension but that service is not available in the UK.

I have also read the Embassy automatically extends the notice, anybody experienced the same in the UK and can offer advise on what to do?

Thanks

If they scheduled your interview for a date after the expiration date of the notice, they should extend the petition.

Another thing you can do for piece of mind is mail a letter to the embassy, you can use the form letter: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/extend-approval.doc

Mail it here:

I would count on automatic extension by the Consular Officer. The exceptions are when they find reasons to recommend denial. Otherwise it's so routine they do it for nearly every petition they see.

Thank you to both of you for the response. Really appreciate it. :)
