All,

I filed for ROC in mid July and I am wanting to change my last name to my husband’s last name.  Will it affect me if I do it now while in ROC?  Would I get a replacement extension letter with the new name?

I also have the Sentri card that I would have to change my name on too.  Does anybody know how it would affect my Sentri/global entry status too?

The reason why I never changed it is because I married my husband in Mexico and they don’t give the lady’s the husbands last name anymore.  During my consular interview over two years ago I would have had to have remained extra time in Juarez had I decided to change my last name for my original CR-1.

I had planned to wait till I naturalize in either 2021 or 2022 but would like to change it now if it is feasible and doesn’t ruin my ROC or Sentri.
