Hi guys,

Please help me I need some information. Anyone here experienced the same scenarios as mine??..I was about to have my US Visa interview in manila however, I found out that we put my husband's mother married name instead of her maiden on our marriage certificate. Will that affect on my interview and put me on hold until I get it corrected? it takes so many months to correct such error. ALL my papers had been submitted and DQ'd since may 2020. I am just worried about this and I have no idea what to do about it..thank you for all your help.

what did he write on the I-130 application? i think if you have passed on USCIS and NVC stage, then the interview should be fine.

I-130 info was all about me and my husband's information. Yes USCIS gave us approval and my papers are in NVC right now accepted and papers qualified. we have our case expedited to speed up the process. it's just our marriage certificate had error with his mothers married name instead of maiden name. worried about 221g situation that can put me on hold..

Our marriage certificate has an error. His mother’s maiden name on there is her married name. We got married in the Philippines and it takes months to have things like that changed. will this be affect my interview at the US embassy? should I need to file for correction? my interview date was scheduled this month.
