Hi everyone! I am trying to complete the I-134 (Affidavit of Support) and I have quite a few questions.

1.  For the areas that don't apply, should I just leave them blank? Or write N/A? I know in Part 3, section 22.a onward, it says to write "none" but should I do that for the other places as well?

2.  I feel like I'm getting mixed messages regarding the bank statement portion.  I have the letter from my employer regarding how much I make (it's more than enough to not need a co-sponsor).  I've been trying to look back at old posts and some people say you don't need it, others do.  The P3 packet from Auckland doesn't say much, just that they need the I-134.

3.  I do have investments (mutual funds), do I need to show proof of that as well? It's through Vanguard and I don't know how to really contact them about it...unless a screenshot is fine?

4.  Regarding Part 3, question 38; I don't really understand the question?  I don't think that I'm intending to set aside specific contributions to my fiance...I mean, he's going to bring all of his assets over to the States and help contribute to our living expenses.  So I should just tick the "do not intend" box, right?

1.  For the areas that don't apply, should I just leave them blank? Or write N/A? I know in Part 3, section 22.a onward, it says to write "none" but should I do that for the other places as well? N/A will suffice.

What I used was the statement page that showed the opening balance for the month and the closing balance for the month. CO was fine with that.

3.  I do have investments (mutual funds), do I need to show proof of that as well? It's through Vanguard and I don't know how to really contact them about it...unless a screenshot is fine? Since you have enough income investments aren't necessary.

4.  Regarding Part 3, question 38; I don't really understand the question?  I don't think that I'm intending to set aside specific contributions to my fiance...I mean, he's going to bring all of his assets over to the States and help contribute to our living expenses.  So I should just tick the "do not intend" box, right? See below.

In the new revised I-134 form dated 2/28/2021 - Question #38 now regards contributions.  You leave the yes/no boxes "unchecked" and your explanation is submitted in Part 7 on page 8 of the new form.

You will do this:

3.a. "Page 4"

3.b. "Part Number 3"

3.c. "Item Number 38"

3.d. "N/A (K1 Visa Process for Permanent Residence)"
