You just inspired me to send $2,800 to the Trump campaign tonight.  Grrrrr.... :ranting:

Good! More individual donors giving more is better than dark money in politics, in my opinion.

I believe President Trump is winning on the small donor front.  A lot of big dark money establishment type donors for Biden.

What a love affair between the Leftist/activist media and Old Joe.  Still does not seem to be stirring up much excitement.

CNN panned for 'softball' Biden town hall: This isn't getting him ready for the debates

The reviews are in for the CNN town hall featuring Joe Biden... and they aren't great.

While Biden's performance has received praise for his ability to display empathy toward Pennsylvania voters selected to ask questions, what has been described as the "softball" treatment of the former vice president by CNN was widely panned on Thursday night, especially following the grilling President Trump faced at the ABC News town hall just two days before.

"In the first moments, the contrast between what Trump was asked and what Biden is being asked is striking," Politico columnist Jeff Greenfield tweeted, later writing. "Biden is doing very well, yes. But this is not exactly getting him ready to face tough questions from a Chris Wallace or Jake Tapper (should he decide to do so)."

Supposedly there is a big issue with act blue and "dark money" because over 50% of the people giving through act blue are "unemployed" while winred it's only 11%.

Edit... I saw this locally in fact. I was comparing the finance contributions for a local state representative race and one of the largest out of state contributions ($1500) came from someone that was supposed unemployed. Why in the hell would you donate $1500 if you are unemployed?

KISSIMMEE, FL—Joe Biden was taken out of the cooler in his campaign bus to give a speech at a campaign stop today, but oops! He forgot to put on clothes.

There's been reporting on this in Media Matters (will not provide link because it will be slammed as trash, I'm sure). "Unemployed" encompasses not only the truly unemployed, but also retirees, students and those (like me) who do not work but have other sources of income. The Republican version of ActBlue, WinRed, asks if you're retired.

I've given a lot this cycle to many candidates; sometimes it's through ActBlue and sometimes I write a check when a bundler reaches out. When I do use ActBlue, I have to put down I'm unemployed. Retirees are often large donors too.

A data analyst went through the FEC reports from the two organizations and came up with findings that are very different from the reporting on this. It's worth a peek even though, yes, it's on a blog by some rando. But he does provide his code on Github and links for the FEC filings for those interested.
