No, that is on YOU and your local leaders.  If you believe that masks make a difference, and weren't wearing them in February and March, then YOU are to blame.  Stop trying to shift your personal blame to others.

We were wearing them in March.  At least our family was.  Asian?  You kidding?  LOL we were in SARS mode.  8 years in the mideast taught us what a coronavirus can do anyway.  MERS was no flu.

 

Our local leaders issued mandate orders and the state over-ruled them.  Explained that.  You forgot that as fast as Trump forgot he complained about the Crime Bill and all the people he released five minutes before he claimed to be the law and order president while Biden is weak on crime.  Are you all alike?  Keep up and at least be logical.

 

Work / school went remote the second week of March.  We were spared from widespread COVID until after Memorial Day.

So why try to blame covid on Trump?  Do you think he can make your city do any different than your governor? Put the blame where the blame is due.  I only wear a mask when I am forced to, and have done pretty well without it, much like Sweden.  Visit and talk to people daily.  Ate at three restaurants this past week without a mask.  My life really hasn't changed much at all compared to last year, minus the annoyance of masks in stores.  To each their own.

I did see and do believe that he downplayed, actively encouraged, and is still actively encouraging people to spread it.  All Trumpers mention Sweden by the way.  Old news.  They’re currently 14th out of 215 countries and regions in deaths per 100k.  We’re 10th.  That your utopia?  We’re supposed to compete with the best, not scrabble for a place in the bottom 20.  
Our governor broke with Trump.  Finally.  Because Texas wanted masking up by 4:1 and trumpers got themselves muzzled in public places.   We are finally getting to a position that things can open up.  Safely.  In spite of Trump, not because of Trump.
