Depends on who gets elected in November. If Biden comes in, the immigration ban will be lifted. If Trump comes back, there is a good chance he may extend it indefinitely. Something else, when Trump came in, he wanted to reduce legal immigration by half. Not illegal, but legal immigration. Please note that there are more legal immigrants than illegal. Anyone who has watched events the last 4 years in the immigration arena and who is a voter, think and think hard and have wisdom when you vote in November. Politics affect your life, no matter how many times you want to bury your head in the sand. Am not going to tell people who to vote for, but am going to say that choices have consequences.

It would be foolish to vote for a person purely for immigration benefit based on just one of their policies.. you need to consider the overall impact of all of their policies vs the type of lifestyle you prefer for You and your spouse in the future..

It’s so annoying when these threads devolve into “who to vote for” arguments. At this point I am sure most everyone is already set on who they’re voting for so little point in banging drums online.

You are very correct. You have to look at all their policies and what life would look like the next 4 years and beyond. Then make a choice. I just said what would likely happen.

It may be annoying, but whichever way you may want to spin this, politics affect your life and mine in more ways than one. And again, who you vote for now will affect the immigration climate the next 4 years and beyond. Whoever comes in will shape policies which will affect you and i as immigrants, and potential beneficiaries in future. So yes, politics affect policy and it is a valid discussion
