Current backlog is around 13 months from DQ to IL at the very least.  Current group of people stuck is DQ November 10, 2020 and above for IR1/CR1.

They are still not scheduling new appointments. I heard from somewhere, they won’t be scheduling the new IL for another 4-5 months. So total time between DQ to IL will be somewhere around 16-18 months for IR and CR.

Does not seem unrealistic, they are scheduling ILs all the time but their priority currently is IR5, and f2a to IR1 conversions.  Since for some reason parents of USC are as important as spouses and children under 21.  IR5 is around March or April 2020 so until they catch up (November 2020) to IR1/CR1 there is not much hope for regular IR1/CR1 cases.

And now there is talk of another lockdown if cases in Mumbai cross 20,000:

That is just ridiculous. USA have 600,000 daily cases and still everything open. This should not happen. Otherwise, we will be waiting forever to join our partner.

This is crazy! that will be more than three years away from my husband. I would have lived back to India instead of bent in my own in the states. Where is the compassion for people? How are we supposed to keep our spirits up?

I agree. This is not acceptable at all. They should make it so we can do online interviews. Something…I literally can’t keep this up. I miss my husband beyond words.

YES.  NOT ACCEPTABLE.  In fact I just got married in India and applied for I130.  I am in the very beginning of the process.  It is unfortunate to see the WAIT TIME for us to get unite with the spouse.  At least they should approve K3 but unfortunately they are not doing that either.. all these I130 approvals clogging in MUMBAI.  THEY SHOULD DO ONLINE VIDEO INTERVIEWS.  WE SHOULD WRITE A PETITION, SIGN and REQUEST THE EMBASSY TO DO THIS FOR USC TO HELP  IR1/CR1 TIMELINES

My wife IR1 visa issued on Jan 3rd. They still didn't send us passport or travel package. Anybody having this delay as well. My status says like below.

They sent us Visa stamp per our request. Visa is expiring on Jun 3rd.

Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you were interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon.

You usually get pasaport in two days after interview. Why you waited so long? Check pick up location or reach out to consulate.

There is another Mumbai thread in the Embassy/Consulate section of the forum which is more active than this one. Someone posted that the backlog has been cleared and the wait is now 3-5 months after DQ which is normal processing time but I haven't seen anything else to corroborate that. I hope it's true.

Hi,

Did anyone recently receive IL for CR1 visa category.

Location : Mumbai

The last i read was May 12 (interview date) DQed on Dec 08.

Your responses will be of great help to understand the current status at Mumbai consulate.

Thanks in advance!

My spouse received his letter for IR1 Mumbai. He is DQed Dec 7 and interview on May 12. I just saw they were scheduling June 1 interviews in Mumbai for converted cases from F2a to IR1.
