Exactly. But Amrit. I was one of those cancelled in April. Everyone in April I know and half of may that were cancelled have been rescheduled

Congratulations Mo for visa approval.  Very happy to see the progress.

In our case our 15 April's  cancelled interview has neither been re-scheduled by us nor they have sent an invite yet. All it says is 'No appointment are available'. We have mailed/called almost 20 times and have requested and escalated - all in vain. No help provided. This is when my husband has already done his Medicals and Bio Metric in early April.

So when you say that most of cancelled appointments of April and May have been re-scheduled it is a shocker to us. Even yesterday only I got reply from consulate that they will reach out to people in order and slots are very limited. The cancellation started on 12th and ours was on 15th. How far we are to not to get invite yet :)

Anyone else please share some thoughts and if you have been successful in getting invited / rescheduling by yourself.

I remember someone started Whatsapp group also recently - Was there any success mantra found to get appointments? Are Telegram people doing something special that we are missing?

Sorry but I may have sound feeling frustrated :)

That's good to know, I did not know they had already rescheduled all of April, since nobody else really confirmed it on here.  Congratulations on getting through this rough journey, hopefully I hear something from them this month or next month.

Same here....hoping to get their mail soon so this wait can come to an end. Please keep us posted here on VJ.

I started the WhatsApp group but have since left it. We were successful in getting slots. Slots were open even yesterday according to people in the slot availablity telegram group for first week of July. You have to check working hours Indian  not US time. We didn't wait to be told to reschedule. We rescheduled ourselves. Starting the 14th of June the consulate is about to open to h1b and student visa people, so please look for slots. Login once every 5 hours from same laptop. Make sure u log off and not tab close.

Telegram group is checking slots around the clock and notifying each other when they see open appointments. You guys are trying to do this alone. I suggest you and amrit here make a WhatsApp group

Now everyone has basically booked so no one's checking anymore in any group

In response to my previous post, thought i would clarify on 'EB'.

Employment based Immigrant visa cases are termed 'EB' classification. If any one DQ'ed in Oct/Nov 2020 has received Interview letter, kindly post your experiences. Thanks.

Alright, thanks for the clarification, I just wanted to point out this topic is specifically for IR1/CR1 category.  I recommend you start a new topic for your visa category if there isn't one already.

I get muted or in trouble whenever I am part of the telegram group, seems if you don’t have the same opinion on certain issues you get in trouble there easily lol, so it would be great if people would start posting here what DQed dates are getting interviews.

My hubby and I were DQed December 15th, I’m assuming that we’ll get an email when case leaves NVC but it would still be nice to know what months are getting interviewed, not all of us can drop everything & leave our homes for an extended period of time without preplanning lol.

Im not against these sorta links at all but I thought the purpose of VJ is for this sorta information.

I don’t understand why anyone should have to join another app and chat to get the info that should be getting posted on VJ in the first place.

Hi, I am a CR1 applicant from Montreal consulate, which is really backed up. The latest date of DQ being interviewed right now is from early September 2020. From some timelines I have seen for Mumbai consulate, I understand that the situation is fairly better there.

I am an Indian citizen, and as such may qualify to transfer my case to be interviewed in India. I am now weighing the risks of doing that vs just waiting it out in Montreal. I was hoping to see some data on the the processing at Mumbai consulate to aid my decision.

Montreal IR1/CR1 applicants are maintaining a tracker:

Is there such a tracker for Mumbai?

Also does any other consulate in India conduct IR1/ CR1 interviews, or is it only Mumbai?

I am in similar situation but I would warn you to take into account the travel ban to/from India. You may only get 20 days time from IL to interview and if there are travel bans that may not be enough time to travel from Canada to India, get medical and biometrics done before interview. Had you thought of this?
