No i ply on IR1 Visa, airlines will check your marriage certificate or any other proof of marriage.

Once you reach us immigration agent will escort you to the other room for firture check on your passport and you have to wait till they are finished. i heard in normal cases they took more than an hour but due to covid they not many people with ir1 so it took us 15-20 mins and they asked me nothing they just checked from there end and after 15 min they stamp my passport with ir1 visa.

No question asked at us immigration.

Thank you for your response, really appreciate it.

Any updates on rescheduling of cancelled visa interview??

Was anyone able to reschedule their visa interview at mumbai consulate?

Not yet.

We are waiting for resume services for CR1/IR1.

They will reschedule first interviews which are cancelled earlier.

Some applicants saying this time will not get any email for rescheduling...they also mention in cancellation e-mail.

I hope we get information instant when they start reschedule.

Hey All, We submitted documents  for DQ on April 17th and we were asked to submit some additional docs (W-2s, 1099 etc for both of us) and we submitted that around 25th. We haven't heard anything back since, and the status on ceac just says submitted. Is it normal that it takes this long to approve a few new documents or do you think our case is on hold because of the Mumbai consulate situation?

Appreciate any pointers, thanks!

It will take some time for status change from submitted to accepted. 2 weeks minimum.

Not sure if we were just lucky but they approved it in 24hours of final submission.  Did you make sure everything was submitted and your fee was paid?  Everything on that list has to be completed before they process it.  I recommend you call nvc, usually best to call early morning when they open or when they are about to close usually a quick response.

Thank you! Yea all documents say 'submitted' and all fees are paid. We uploaded everything they asked in the message.

Yes I'll try to call them tomorrow. Do you get an email with interview dates once the documents are accepted? I wonder if the Mumbai center being closed has anything to do with this delay on our case.

No, you don’t get an interview date immediately. You get an email that you have been Documentarily Qualified and get in queue for the Interview.

The wait for the interview is a long and depressing one, DQ was in November still waiting :(.  Covid caused them to close down again and only process emergency cases.
