Its upto NvC only. Don't know why they harass the people. My dq is 22nd may. Anyhow u can call to the nvc to get any update. But as always they just give stupid excuse. Have to wait till next month. But dont worry like , if you get this moth on 23 feb. And the next u will by 1 to 2nd march. Dont worry. I know i am also waiting from 2 years and 2 days. So our painful journey will end soon.

My dq is same 22 may, haven't receive IL till now.

Hopefully,  they sent the IL one more time this month, like last month they sent twice . So have patience, on Jan 23 they will send again the they will cover up the remaining May month DQ’s. My DQ is June 1st and I’m hoping to receive the IL by then too.

Hi everyone I’m so happy I just got my wife’s interview date in Mumbai consulate for Feb 18 2021. I applied for her I-130 in Nov 2018. It was a long wait I had given up hope. I just wanted to share this good news. Good luck everyone.

Long wait . Which category was it? IR-1 or CR-1?

Case: IR-1

DQ: May 06, 2020

IL: January 11, 2021

Interview Date: February 16, 2021

Does anyone know if the applicant needs to carry I-864 form with original wet ink signature to the interview? This form was already submitted to NVC. Neither NVC nor US Consulate, Mumbai is able to answer this question. They advise to ask USCIS. Moreover, travel.state.gov webpage says otherwise: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/visas-news-archive/20161228_ink-signature-no-longer-required-on-affidavits-of-support.html, but I am not absolutely sure as I never heard back from the US Consulate, Mumbai.

I called and asked when my nvc dq happened, they very were unclear. For my brother-in-law we had him carry the I-864 form with wet ink, he did have to show it. Some people say yes some no, just take it if you have it, or at least a copy.

Was your wife/husband able to schedule a VAC appointment using the website?

Yes, and also medical exam. You are right that NVC and the U.S. Consulate, Mumbai are unable to give a clear answer to this question even though the state.travel.gov webpage says otherwise. Anything else you want to share with your brother-in-law's interview experience? Something that may be unexpected?
