I was documentarily approved in August. Nvc wrote Is that yes, we were documentarily approved, but the Consulate in Naples was closed. We called the Consulate, and It was actually open and doing spousal visas. We wrote this to Nvc. No answer. So we asked for an expedite. My husband' s health has been deteriorating for a long time, It Is very likely that I will go through a new lockdown soon, and my son will not be able to enter college if this thing Is going to take months. So we asked for an expedite. Rejected because there were no birthdays on It. They told us to submit It again with birthdays which we did on the second of September.

No answer.

What Is the point in being documentarily approved if they do not even know if a Consulate is open or closed, and if they are not going to answer anyway to anything? Nvc does not answer emails and now It Is not answering the expedite.

I am desperate and I have been for a long time.Sorry for the rant. Any advice Is appreciated.

NVC will not normally schedule your interview until you at the front of the queue for that consulate.  Once the consulate informs NVC of available dates, the NVC will schedule interviews beginning at the front of the queue.  There are probably cases in front of you......just be patient.

Wonder what the significance of birthdays is.

For our expedite request we put in our date of of birth alongside our full names for reference as well as our case number. I think it's needed for ID confirmation.
