Hi,

It's unlikely that you are a US citizen.

Under the Child Citizenship Act, a person needs to meet 4 conditions to automatically derive US citizenship from a USC parent.

1.  Be under age 18

2.  Be a legal permanent resident

3.  Have a USC parent

4.  Live with the USC parent.

If you were already 18 when you started your green card process, then you were too old to gain US citizenship from a USC parent.

Sorry, no. If you were not born a citizen, you need to have already entered the US on an immigrant visa/green card and be living in the physical and legal custody of your US citizen parent in the US before you turn 18, to acquire it automatically. Because you will enter after age 18, you will need to meet the requirements to naturalize on your own.

good enough Thanks . any way I'm waiting my green card, under ir2,

I only miss number 1

>I'm fine, I'll have a green card

I imagine being 18 while filling was the last date to get it
ok I wait, thank you so much

to automatically have U.S. citizenship, the child must be under the age of 18,
I was exactly 18 years old in 2017
March 22 - 1999, date of birth
March 22 - 2017 = 18 years

I was 18 when my lawyer started the process, same year, will I have American nationality.

I am not sure, since I do not know the exact date where I was approved by the uscis, and the date he handed over all the documents, or date of filling.

I hope, will I have American nationality?

This is the third time you have asked the same question. Duplicate questions .. or should I say triplicate questions in this case .. are unnecessary.  The answer isn’t going to change !

You have to have all of them at the same time. Missing any one of them means you miss. It was clearly  explained in the previous thread that you had to be inside the US as a LPR before age 18, doesn’t matter when you filed.

Exactly. You already have a GC. What's the obsession with obtaining citizenship at exactly 18yrs? It's not like it'll confer some hidden benefits or get you to the White House.

Be happy with the GC. File citizenship 5 years later as mentioned by @Paul & Mallory

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Nationality and Citizenship are odd things in the US.   The only nationals are Samoans.  Everyone else gets to be or become a citizen.

Not until you file for citizenship on your own, 5 years after the "resident since" date on your green card.

Had you arrived prior to 18 the process could have been easier.

CSPA is not the same thing as us citzenship

CSPA isn't relevant if you are in the US.

Steps to obtain citizenship isn't relevant if you are not in the US.

Put some actual dates in your timeline if you want specific answers to your petition.

Poster has had plenty of specific answers to his questions (!!!)...but a rash of difffent threads, some on the same and some on different, issues tends to confuse the picture.

Well, the benefit is less time and less hassle and, especially, from October 2 less money spent (said from a parent who had one under and one over 18 child when parent naturalized), but it’s moot for OP as it simply was never an option for him.
