Darnit!! I don't know how I missed it in the instructions, there it is, plain as day. Submit two passport photos.

LOL at the new siggy!

Good thing it's not fatal; I wonder if they'll just bounce it back, or issue an RFE?

I wonder why they want them. They used to biometrics photos for Claudeth's EAD and GC

I know. If I could only take my own advice!! ;)

Can they bounce it back, keep the money, and make you refile?

I really hope not!! I don't think so. For them to keep the money, they have to actually adjudicate the application. Which means they would have to approve or deny us in order to keep the money. I don't think they will deny the application because I forgot the photos.

Other options are to reject the entire application (fee and all) which would still be OK because I have time before the deadline to re-file. Or, to issue an RFE. I think I'd rather have the RFE out of all those scenarios.

My guess is, to put on the new card? They took their own photo for my husband's EAD but his CGC is with the photo we submitted. I think.

I think they'll just send it back and have a form saying missing information and show you a copy of the instructions with the passport pics highlighted or something. I had something similar years ago while on a TN visa. My employer forgot to add a copy of my I-94 or my school records or something. We got a notice back saying insuficiant documentation, and told us what we were missing. So just sent that with our case number or in this case probably alien number and it was all taken care of.

I doubt they'll make you re-file or anything, they'll just put it on hold, and then when they get the pics, they'll continue to process it. That's my guess from experience anyways, but who knows...

They will just send you the yellow letter, (2 weeks to a month after your initial filing) it's not an RFE, it will ask you to submit photos (if you have not) your actual green card (if you have not) and any supporting evidences (again, if you haven't already done so)

It's not a big deal. They put them in a file, they don't actually use them for the PGC they will use the biometrics photos.

Hope this calms some nerves

Neither. They sent the letter extending my husband's status for one year. Haven't heard a peep since then.

I think they don't need your photos no more. When you're approved, they still have to take your photos at their place again no matter whether you sent your photos or not.

Hey Raj,

We got the approval letter today, and my husband needs to make an infopass appt and bring in his photos.

Maybe if we had sent in the photos as instructed, we could have skipped the infopass appointment and gotten the new card in the mail without lifting a finger?
